Brick has got to be the best Indie film I’ve seen in a long time, the unique dialogue and camera angles help add dramatic effect and intensify the suspense. Brick takes place in a high school underworld where the student drug organization has ventured past weed and hash brownies and into the world of white. As would any other tale involving white and a group of greedy youngsters stupidity and death seem inevitable. And in Brick a teenage loner (Brendan) fight his way through the lies and secrets of a criminal origination to investigate the disappearance of his ex-lover.
Based on the video game, which follows an adventurous prince who teams up with a rival princess to stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.
Takers revolves around a group of notorious group of criminals, who continue to stay on step in front of the law by perfectly executing a series of bank robberies. At a politically correct prep school in Washington DC two girls -one black, one white- go toe to toe. Jesse (Louisa Krause) is a privileged but troubled white girl whose slutty tendencies pull her towards self-destructive behavior. Tosha (Sonequa Martin) is a fiercely determined African-American from Anacostia, one of DCs most impoverished areas. Both new seniors and star players on their schools lacrosse team, the two girls click despite their differences.
Their fledgling friendship begins to falter when they discover their shared interest in Rashid, a dashing Lebanese deejay. Things unravel further when Tosha and Jesse have a shoving match on the lacrosse field and racist graffiti appears on Toshas locker soon after. Jesse is expelled from school and spirals deeper into self-destructive behavior. Surprisingly, it is Tosha who comes to her rescue. Jesse then returns the favor by sacrificing her own well being for that of Toshas. And so the two girls, once mired in mutual hatred, become each others salvation.

Screenwriter Shane Black spoke with Moviehole and said that even though Black has already written the script he doesn’t think that there will be a Lethal Weapon 5. And rightfully so, there is no reason to go through all the trouble of making a new Lethal Weapon movie when it’s original stars aren’t physically able to handle all the action required by an action film. Finally screenwriters and production studios have decided to accept things for what they are and stop making sequels to dead series…..Thank God….Mr.Black you are appreciated.
Even if Lethal Weapon’s original staring cast members Mel Gibson and Danny Glover were physically capable of taking on such a role without the movie losing it’s action packed edge, Mel Gibson has wiped his hands of his role as Sergent Martin Riggs. Last October, Richard Donnor was quoted:
“Mel turned it down. I would like to think that Mel turned it down because I wasn’t involved. Knowing Mel, I would like to think that. Would that be the kind of thing he does? It sure would be.”
If Mel doesn’t want this film to happen I’m pretty sure it won’t happen. No offense to the other cast members but Mel Gibson and Danny Glover made this series and to have a sequal without either one couldn’t be considered a part of the Lethal Weapon series.

Mickey Rourke and Megan Fox star in Mitch Glazer’s remake of Passion Play. In the film Fox will be playing a angel type creature, only wings no halo, who is imprisoned by a ruthless gangster and placed on display. The circus freak/damsel in distress is to be saved by a washed up trumpet player who’s seen better days, Rourke’s character.
Check out the latest photo from the set of Passion Play, currently filming in downtown Albuquerque , NM. And yes this is a love story but Fox promises it won’t be the typical one despite the fact that it looks like they’re about to kiss. Be sure to check back as more info about passion play is released.
I just got finished watching Push…… Not what I was expecting. I mean I have a fatal attraction to movies so I’ll watch just about anyone, but this one is pushing it… The plot takes a while to develop and characters pop up all over the place. Honestly it reminded me of Jumper, some superhuman race is being hunted by some super secret agency. I found myself drifting in and out of conscientious during this movie. But all is not lost; the actors make the film actually worthwhile and bearable.
Djimon Hounsou, Dakota Fanning, the always sexy Ming-Na, and Chris Evans all gave outstanding performances. It just goes to show that a good movie needs both a good plot as well as a good cast. Don’t get me wrong the film was decent but that’s it decent. So if you have nothing else to do with one of your evenings, why not watch it. It’d probably be a good waste of time. That being so i gotta give this one a 7.5/10. Below is a short summary provided by IMDB.
A group of young American ex-pats with telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities are hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency. They must utilize their different talents and band together for a final job enabling them to escape the agency forever.
So remember sitting in your high school history class listening to the teacher bore everyone to death while lecturing on greek mythology, and if your anything like me you’d much rather watch about it than read about it. Now don’t get me wrong it’s most defiantly an intriguing subject, but if my teacher was more like Chris Columbus and the crew at 1492 Pictures I might have stayed awake.
