Set to star in Tony Scott’s Unstoppable, this will be Denzel’s fifth time pairing up with Scott to deliver one hell of a performance. Already having Crimson Tide, Deja Vu, Man On Fire and yet to be released The Taking Of Pelham 123 under their belts, I can assure you the dynamic duo will not disappoint.
Here’s a short summary of the plot provided by IMDB:
Unstoppable, a 20th Century Fox drama about a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. Pits an engineer and his conductor in a race against time. They’re chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town.
Unstoppable is set to hit theaters sometime in 2011. Be sure to check back in as more info is released
Check out the trailer for Rob Zombie’s latest imstallment in the Halloween series, H2: Halloween two. Doesn’t look like much at first but it kinda gets better. It’s already looking like Zombie did a better job on the first installment, Halloween (2007).
H2: Halloween 2 is set to hit theaters August 28, 2009.
Instant classic…..Hands down, Role Models has to be the funniest movies I’ve seen so far this year.
Where should I start?…First, McLovin killed it…I gotta hand it to him, the guys just funny. In the movie Christopher Mintz-Plasse plays a nerdy teen outcast by his peers because he is obsessed with the medieval world called Lair, named Augie Farks. Picture McLovin, but less concerned with his social life. Anyway, he walks around with a cape and a plastic sword…no wonder his guidance counselor placed him in the mentoring program and trust me his mentor doesn’t have a clue what he’s getting into. But he’s not the only over the edge mentee in the program, let me introduce the hell raising Ronnie Shields, the youngest child in the mentoring program but don’t let his size fool you he’s got the mouth of a sailor and the balls to back it up. Bobb’e J. Thompson really out did himself this time, I’m sure he had one hell of a time with all the cussing they let him do.
Danny Donachue, played by Paul Rudd, and Wheeler, played by Sean Wiliam Scott, get into legal trouble and have the choice of doing community service at Sturdy Wings mentoring program or spend 30 days in jail. It’s obvious which choice they pick but it wasn’t without great thought after meeting their new mentee’s referred to as “Littles”. As if having to deal with a teen dressed in midevil battle gear and a swearing toddler as you Littles, Sturdy Wing’s Program Director Gayle Sweeny, played by Jane Lynch. Similar to her work in The 40 Year Old Virgin, the uptight power crazy bitch in the management position. Just to give you a taste of her brilliance her a quote from the movie:
Me and the judge have a special relationship… I don’t wanna get too graphic but I sucked his dick for drugs.
Would I recommend you see this movie? Hell Yes..it’s definately worth it.
Lauren Donner, producer of X-men Origins: Wolverine, spoke with SCI FI Wire about the rumored Magneto installment in the X-Men Origins series.
I don’t know. We have a great script. Honestly, we have all been just so focused on getting ‘Wolverine’ out that we didn’t take the time to sit down and explore ‘What are the movies we’re going to do next within the genre?’ We will do that. We will do that. We all want to. ‘Magneto’ is a fantastic script, and hopefully we’ll make it. I don’t know.
In the movie biz, that means yes. I doubt they’ll miss out on a chance to make money.
