Takers revolves around a group of notorious group of criminals, who continue to stay on step in front of the law by perfectly executing a series of bank robberies. They get in, get out and leave no trace behind. But an attempt  to pull off one last heist for a purse bigger than ever leaves the crew face to face with a Detective hell-bent on solving the case and the one place you dont wanna be is in between these guys and the $25 million they’re after.

At a politically correct prep school in Washington DC two girls -one black, one white- go toe to toe. Jesse (Louisa Krause) is a privileged but troubled white girl whose slutty tendencies pull her towards self-destructive behavior. Tosha (Sonequa Martin) is a fiercely determined African-American from Anacostia, one of DCs most impoverished areas. Both new seniors and star players on their schools lacrosse team, the two girls click despite their differences.

Their fledgling friendship begins to falter when they discover their shared interest in Rashid, a dashing Lebanese deejay. Things unravel further when Tosha and Jesse have a shoving match on the lacrosse field and racist graffiti appears on Toshas locker soon after. Jesse is expelled from school and spirals deeper into self-destructive behavior. Surprisingly, it is Tosha who comes to her rescue. Jesse then returns the favor by sacrificing her own well being for that of Toshas. And so the two girls, once mired in mutual hatred, become each others salvation.

Mickey Rourke and Megan Fox star in Mitch Glazer’s remake of Passion Play. In the film Fox will be playing a angel type creature, only wings no halo, who is imprisoned by a ruthless gangster and placed on display.The circus freak/damsel in distress is to be saved by a washed up trumpet player who’s seen better days, Rourke’s character.

And yes this is a love story but Fox promises it won’t be the typical one despite the fact that it looks like they’re about to kiss. So remember sitting in your high school history class listening to the teacher bore everyone to death while lecturing on greek mythology, and if your anything like me you’d much rather watch about it than read about it. Now don’t get me wrong it’s most defiantly an intriguing subject, but if my teacher was more like Chris Columbus and the crew at 1492 Pictures I might have stayed awake.

Two time Academy Award winning actor Denzel Washington is a man on fire in The Book Of Eli and from what I hear the 55 year old trained 4 months with martial art experts in preparation for the role. Washington will be playing a fearless and ruthless drifter Eli, who walks across the ruins of America in the in this post apocalyptic adventure. Armed with an arsenal of weapons ranging from a shotgun to a Samari sword Eli kills to protect what some would kill to have, a sacred book that holds the to saving mankind. Along side actors Mila Kunis and Gary Oldman, Washington anticipates the film will share with audiences the spiritual revolution they embarked as Eli embarrasses on his journey across a vile and cold world where one man stands fights not only to save mankind but to defend his virtue.

The Book of Eli is set to hit theaters January 15, 2010 be sure to check back for the review.

Director Christopher Nolan, responsible for The Dark Knight and  The Prestige, has yet again come to amaze audiences as he redefines the meaning of having an overactive imagination and sketches out the architecture of the mind. Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, and Marion Cotillard is a Sci-Fi adventure deep into the mind where the creativity of the imagination becomes powerful enough to reconstruct cities, potent enough to charter change through out the world and in the most dire conditions it has the strength to change the rules.

But just when it all seemed to good to be true, a unforeseen accident puts one of the lone rangers in a compromising position. As it goes in the wild the wounded predictor becomes the pray, the hunter turns into the hunted and in this case the doctor becomes the patient. Now on the run from what he used to be, the Repo Man has to fight to keep his life from being repoe’d.

Toy Story, the timeless classic that we have all come to know and love, has yet again come to let the world know that “we’ve got a friend in them” but this sequel the ride is in 3-D. According to Director Lee Unkrich  all the toy characters will be returning Woody, Buzz, Rex, Mr. Potato Head, Ect.. along side their new companion Mr. Picklepants they have to face the moment all the Disney fans never thought would come, the day Andy grows up. Off to college, a new life, new friends, and new experiences, so with Andy all grown up where are the toys to go….

The moment has finally come, the legendary Jackie Chan has stepped up to fill the shoes of everyone favorite mentor Mr. Miyagi in Columbia Pictures remake of The Karate Kid. Chan will team up with the upcoming Jaden Smith in the remake of the wax on wax off phenomenon. Keeping up  the overall plot the same, Director Harold Zwart has added a modern twist to the timeless classic about a boy who has to find the inner strength to stand up for himself and whats right and a man battling his past. This time around it is the student who is in the foreign land taking the fight to the Do-Jo’s of  China. Personally i think it’ll make for a better movie, having the student face difficulties culturally as well as socially.
