I just got finished watching Push…… Not what I was expecting. I mean I have a fatal attraction to movies so I’ll watch just about anyone, but this one is pushing it… The plot takes a while to develop and characters pop up all over the place. Honestly it reminded me of Jumper, some superhuman race is being hunted by some super secret agency. I found myself drifting in and out of conscientious during this movie. But all is not lost; the actors make the film actually worthwhile and bearable.
Djimon Hounsou, Dakota Fanning, the always sexy Ming-Na, and Chris Evans all gave outstanding performances. It just goes to show that a good movie needs both a good plot as well as a good cast. Don’t get me wrong the film was decent but that’s it decent. So if you have nothing else to do with one of your evenings, why not watch it. It’d probably be a good waste of time. The air is fresh, the trees are green and Dakota Fanning will star in the Wizard of Oz remake. It just seems to role off the tongue, Dakota Fanning taking a trip to Oz, roaming around munchkin land and what not.
The sequel to the timeless classic will be the works of Todd McFarlane, in cahoots with Warner Bros. they plan to bring Oz to the present day and time. It’ll be interesting to see who they choose to fill the rest of the cast. Maybe Kanye West would make a good tin man, he’s heartless anyway…..lol sorry I couldn’t help myself…. But on a more serious note, this time around their will be no random combustion of song and music. Yup… someone finally wised up and left the musicals with Disney, in the up-to-date remake/sequel they’ve decided to focus more on the plot rather than the tunes that only waste time from actor that have no kind of vocal range what so ever.
Finally confirmed, Dakota Fanning is set to join to cast of the Twilight squeal New Moon. Fanning is set to play Jane:
Jane is a younger member of the Italian “royal family” named the Volturi who maintain a permanent residence in Volterra, Tuscany, Italy. This group of vampires are very basically the police, they make sure that their kind is kept an absolute secret. Jane owns a formidable gift that frightens even the strongest of vampires, she can create the illusion of a pain second only to the fire of vampire venom coursing through your veins - excruciating pain that leaves anyone baring it collapsed on the floor. There is one exception to her wrath though, Isabella Swan. That fact infuriates Jane more than anything.
Personally we think that Dakota Fanning would make an excellent contribution to the crew. Think about it, she is already known for her roles in horror and thriller films such as Man on Fire and Hide and Seek. So a bloodsucking vampire who has the ability to create illusions of pain shouldn’t be too far of a stretch for the 14 year old phenom.
Even with the help of Dakota Fanning this movie won’t have much success if they don’t start filming soon. Set to relaease November 20, 2009, it’d probaly be a smart idea to get a move on if they don’t want to rush a highly anticipated film.
