Check out the new trailer for Joe Wright’s Soloist starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.

Set to hit theaters April 24, 2009  the Soloist:

Based on the true story of musical prodigy Nathaniel Ayers (Jamie Foxx), who developed schizophrenia in his second year at Juilliard and ended up homeless on the streets of downtown L.A. where he performs the violin and cello. The drama is based on the relationship the musician developed with Steve Lopez (Downey), a Los Angeles Times reporter whose column informed the script, as did a book Lopez is writing that Putnam will publish in the spring.

Iron Man star, Robert Downey Jr, has been set to star in the latest adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. Director Guy Ritchie, has bought along Jude Law to assistant Downey as Holmes assistant Dr. James Watson.

Sherlock Holmes is set to hit theaters December 25, 2009.

Set to release May 7, 2010 Iron Man 2 and it’s director, Jon Favreau, have finally begun to make some forward progress. Just recently they announced that Mickey Rourke( The Wrestler) was finally confirmed to be in the film, Rourke will play the role of Ivan, Iron Man’s Russian villain, only signing on after negotiations to raised his pay from a measly $250,000 to what Rouke’s agent quotes being risen to a significant level for today’s economic status.

E!Online has recently confirmed that Scarlett Johansson ( The Prestige) was also brought onto the Iron Man 2 team as Russian super spy Natasha Romanoff who doubles over as Black Widow.We are really in for a surprise in this one. One can only conclude from Robert Downey Jr’s short cameo as Tony Stark in the most recent Hulk film starring Edward Norton, that they are going to start up an alliance and team up together. Al least they film franchises are beginning to get a little creative even if the idea came from the League of Superhero’s.

Also set to star in the film: Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle.
