HANDS DOWN, Avatar is the best adventure movie I have every seen and very well most likely to be Best Picture of the year. Avatar is a majestic epic in its class; taking you on a journey deep into an alien world where mankind and alien throw down in an classic clash of Cowboys vs Indians; A visual phenomenon with breath taking CG effects that captured a earthy final fantasy type world full of life, strange creatures, exotic plants, and an intoxicating spectrum of color and movement to the slightest detail. No wonder I was glued to the edge of my seat for entire 2hr 4o min wishing the end would never come.
Starting of rather fast paced it gets straight to the point, with the main character Jake Sully have embarked on the journey that would change his life. On course to the planet Pandora, the epic begins with Sully learning about his Avatar body that he will use to walk among the aliens population, it’s a experience that seems quite futuristic no doubt. The company he works for seek a precious rock the is found on the strange planet, worth unmeasurable amounts of wealth. But one of the aliens most sacred and spiritual places rests on top of the mineral deposit, causing an epidemic and war. Forced with a decision the native alien species must decided if they will corporate with their foreign invaders or stand and fight, Bow and Arrows vs Machine Guns in an epic display of how savage invaders who’ve fallen corrupt to greed will destroy everything including the innocent to get what they want. Meanwhile Sully has to face himself, does he betray the company who hired him, his people, or will he watch the newly found love of his life and all that she loves burn to the ground over money. The question that will change the fate of two world collided.
Actors Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington gave Oscar winning performances having characters switch from human to his alien avatar, giving both outstanding acting and voice overs. Along side Director James Cameron and co-starring actors Zoe Saldana, Giovanni Ribisi, and Michelle Rodriguez helped bring everything to together with each having different characters but all sharing the same feeling as each emotional catastrophe brings them closer together. Capturing the emotions between lovers, enemies and friends in the zealous fight for whats right.
Avatar was a miraculous fusion of acting, direction, and production assembled in a rhythmic harmony that seem to memorize all in attendance, giving off a surrealistic vibe that allowed the audience to feel as if we were actually on Pandora. So for those who haven’t seen it, its defiantly worth a look and I’m sure all those who have will agree it’s well worth a second trip to the movies.
Talk about an epic. I really cant wait for this one to hit theaters. Imagine the legendary battle between good an evil, the historic origins dating back to the ancient Greeks and Romans back by millions of dollars in funding AND the mind-breaking technology know as CG effects…What a set up for success lol. They good life….Anyhow you can see Liam Neeson (Taken) and Sam Worthington (Avatar) team up against evil in Clash of the Titans, hitting theaters March 26, 2010. Be sure and check it out
Check out the trailer for the upcoming Avatar, hitting theaters December 16, 2009.
I think Director James Cameron will redefine the definition of CG effects with this one. Even though its just a trailer I really felt like i was looking at a completely different world, every detail crystal clear, the shadowing and air movement in the characters, and the cool eerie feeling when ever watching something about the future. And think if the trailer was mind blowing imagine how the movie will be. But never fear Avatar hit theaters this Friday. Be sure to check it out the jaw dropping performances from actors Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver. This one looks to be worth the price of admissions.
